Huawei has added two new dual-sim(mini SIM+micro SIM) devices into their Honor variants. Lets talk about Honor 3x, which features a 5.5” IPS screen with the resolution of 720×1280 pixels, quite dissapointing the fact that it is still not a 1080p screen, reason being Huawei claims that 20% of battery life could be saved by remaining with a 720p screen. Under the hood, the most anticipated 1.7GHz octa-core processor with Mediatek MT6592 chipset, 2GB of RAM, dissapointed with this one as well , with 3GB RAM has already been introduced. The back camera features a 13MP f2.2 aperture , and the front shooter is a 5MP the same one featured in the Ascend P6. Lastly the major upset for me has been the battery capacity with only 3000 mAh , which makes me wonder would the battery last for at least a day with slightly above average usage pattern?
Next, comes the Huawei Honor 3C, with lower specifications and much cheaper compared to the Honor 3X. The 3C features a 5″ LPTS(Low Temperature PolySilicon) screen with same 720p resolution as the 3X. It has two variants either 1GB or 2GB of RAM, and only 4GB of internal memory with the existence of microSD slot which present in both the devices that solves this issue. 3C has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor ,8MP main camera with f2.0 aperture, same 5MP front shooter, and packed with 2300 mAh of battery.
Not to forget, both of this devices has the same dual noice cancellation mic which featured in the Ascend Mate and Ascend P6. I am quite sad to know the fact both of these devices does not feature LTE connectivity as this is a major selling point at current market level where other high end mobile phones have already started releasing devices with LTE.
This device is only available in China for now as the international release date is still unknown, and most probably made available at Q1 of next year. Which one is your cup of tea? Would you consider getting one of these once it is available in your country?
