Also during the IFA 2014 which was held at Berlin, Lenovo did not want to be quiet and broke the ice by blasting the event by introducing the all new Lenovo Vibe Z2 and Lenovo Vibe X2 which could be their best yet flagship phones till date available out once available in the retail market. These smartphones are not be to be taken easily as something basic or rather “Oh, look guys Lenovo introducing another average smartphone, I bet the specs aren’t up to date at all”. Well guys, this time you could be entirely wrong as when it is going to be a flagship device, Lenovo wants to stand out as one of the best manufacturers among others and as you get to know the specifications shortly, be mesmerized! 🙂
Lenovo Vibe Z2
The Lenovo Vibe Z2 has a HD IPS display sized at 5.5-inch resulting in a total of 267ppi. It is powered by a new version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 ( MSM8916 ) Quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with a Adreno 306 GPU for a fantastic graphic performance especially during heavy gaming. You might wonder, why not Snapdragon 801? Well, it is simply because the Snapdragon 410 is a 64-bit processor! Which eventually performs far much better than the Snapdragon 801. Awesome much?
You get a 2GB of RAM together with 32GB of ROM with the loss of micro SD slot which is not made available for this smartphone. Best part of this smartphone is that it is a dual SIM device which is dual standy for both SIMs with the capability of supporting 4G LTE for both of them! Now that’s something new isn’t it? Another great selling point is that the Lenovo Vibe Z2 comes with a 13MP rear camera which has OIS ( Optical Image Stabilization ) and a 8MP front shooter which supports Auto Focus as well. You get a wide angle lens for a great selfie to be taken together with your friends.
The smartphone comes with a non-removable 3000mAh battery and comes out of the box with Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the option of upgrading to Android L in the near future once made available. The phone weights at just 158g and a extremely slim design at only 7.8mm thickness.
Lenovo Vibe X2
Being a similar flagship smartphone, it doesn’t fall far away from the Lenovo Vibe Z2. The Lenovo Vibe X2 has a 5-inch IPS display with a better Full HD display measuring a great amount of pixels per inch at 441. This smartphone is powered by Mediatek’s MT6595m Octa core processor clocked at 2.0GHz while the graphics is powered by Power VR G600. It also has a 2GB of RAM with 32GB of ROM with the lack of micro SD slot as well.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 comes with a 13MP main camera without OIS while the front selfie camera is set at 5MP. This is a single SIM smartphone which supports 4G LTE while the dual SIM version could be introduced in some regions by some network carriers.
You get a battery capacity of 2300mAh which is also non-removable, which could be disappointing but with the existance of Mediatek’s low-power consumption processor, it could be a problem well solved. The Lenovo Vibe X2 also comes out of the box with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and with the support upgrade-able to Android L in the near future. Lenovo also introduced Layered design on this smartphone which enables the smartphone to have multiple layers of colors or it could be even some patterns as well.
