Probably this phone is totally underrated due to its price tag being hefty. But surely there would be reasons why it is overpriced and is the brand Vivo stopping you to spend that much? One thing to be very sure of is to not conclude a brand to be always having a low/mid range phones only all the way. Take OnePlus for an example, it was well known to be a flagship killer with mid range price. Look at it now being priced more than how it used to be. This is because of the evolving tech that they have included in their new phones. Getting back to Vivo Nex 3, same concept with whole load of new tech to be offered to the consumers. In this article, we are going to talk about 3 reasons why we should still consider getting the Vivo Nex 3.
Reason 1: Drop-dead gorgeous Waterfall Display
Probably the most hyped screen design at the moment. Vivo introduced a full screen display with embedded in-display fingerprint scanner. The display looks to good simply because of the way it was designed as well as it being Super AMOLED panel. It is sized at 6.89-inch and HDR10 certified since it is Full HD+ with a resolution of 1080 x 2256.
Reason 2: Versatile Camera
The selfie camera is indeed rare and not realized by many as it comes with a tiny speaker as well as LED flash. For those beauty bloggers or even vloggers who spend most of their time on front camera would love this, eliminating the need of having an additional mic being carried around. Of course having a good quality mic would be way better, but it is not necessary to have one since Vivo Nex 3 comes with a decent one. Also most pop-up cameras are slowly eliminating the LED flash as well, Vivo ensure they do not “cut-cost” at any department as they already price their device at a high price tag.
As for the main camera, it comes with the best possible combination to have – main lens, telephoto lens and ultrawide lens. The photos are really good, thanks to the 64MP main image sensor which ensures they are in high quality yet sharp. Only issue you would need to feel something is missing would be the Optical Image Stabilization on their camera setup. This is indeed dissapointing but as we have used it for more than a month now, the camera is as good as our daily driver OnePlus 7 Pro. Low-light condition is sometimes not up to our expectations but we do avoid taking photos at places where there is bad lighting. The dynamic range is really good compared to the daily driver as it also manages to balance the automatic exposures quite well.
Reason 3: Monster battery life with supercharged charger
The Vivo Nex 3 comes with 4500mAh non-removable battery with fast charging enabled. The 22.5W fast charging charges this device within 1 hour and 30 minutes! Also the battery life is insanely good going up to 12 hours of screen-on-time with mostly being spent on social media.
Honorable mention
The processor of this smartphone is powered by the overclocked Snapdragon 885+ chipset by Qualcomm. There is no room for complaints here as the user experience is really good alongside Funtouch OS. It is also a device which comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (UFS 3.0). This is also a high requirement for any smartphone to cost more than RM3k these days. Lastly, it also has a 3.5mm audio jack! Something which is really hard to find these days on a flagship device. Vivo ensures you have that too in the Nex 3. Last but not least for the gamers, the Vivo Nex 3 comes with 4-axis haptic feedback. Basically there are no buttons at all on these phone. The pressure sensors represent the power button as well asa the volume rockers. The X-axis haptic feedback motors creates enhanced 4D vibration when you are playing games. It is hard to explain this way, go ahead and try one by yourself.
