HTC have announced the availability of HTC Desire 628 Dual SIM smartphone. It is a mid-ranged device and is suitable for those who prefer high-contrast color together with decent specifications. This smartphone still has some features that only HTC is good at such as the BoomSound front facing stereo speakers.
A little recap of the specification. The HTC Desire 628 Dual SIM comes with a 5-inch IPS Display with HD resolution. Under the hood, there’s a 64-bit Octa-core processor clocked at 1.3Ghz powered by Mediatek. To power up the processing speed, there’s 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage provided. HTC claims that you can expand the memory up to 2TB with the micro SD card slot made available.
Other than that, there’s 13MP main camera with f2.0 aperture while the front facing selfie camera comes at 5MP. The shutter speed is as fast as 0.4 second and this is a good thing in terms of capturing image quickly. I am not sure how good the Auto Focus is though. As mentioned earlier, the BoomSound speakers are the main selling point on the HTC Desire 628 Dual SIM. Next, you will get Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box paired with HTC’s very own and peoples favorite Sense 7 UI.
The battery seems to be the only thing matter here as it only comes at 2200mAh and it’s non-removable. To compensate that, HTC have given a 5V/1.5A charger within the packaging itself to boost up the charging speed. Lastly, this is a Dual SIM device and both of them are Nano SIMs with the support of CAT 4 LTE connectivity.
The HTC Desire 628 Dual SIM is priced at RM799 inclusive of GST and is already available with two color combinations, Cobalt White and Sunset Blue.
