Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“Digi”) today announced the launch of the Digi Video Freedom pass which gives customers bite-sized video passes for streaming internet video content without using up their internet quota. This value-add service allows customers to enjoy the content they want for a low price while maintaining their Internet usage patterns.

Digi customers with an internet plan can purchase and activate the Digi Video Freedom pass beginning 15 April and stream the best and most popular video content from a host of partners that include YouTube, iflix, Astro on the Go, Viu, tonton, Dailymotion and HyppTV.

The Digi Video Freedom passes are available in two options, an hourly and daily pass which gives customers the freedom to choose based on their internet usage. The hourly pass costs RM1 for one hour  while the daily pass costs RM5 for 24 hours, both with a fair usage policy. This limited time offer can be purchased via the MyDigi app that is downloadable from the Apple App Store as well as Google Play.

The launch of Digi Video Freedom follows Digi’s announcement that its 4G LTE network now covers 72% of populated areas in Malaysia and is available in 153 major cities and towns while Digi’s LTE-A coverage can current serve 31% of Malaysians nationwide. The high speed internet access offered by Digi’s 4G LTE and LTE-A rollout means more customers can enjoy a better experience streaming high quality video on-the-go.
