Recently, LEAGOO Malaysia announced the availability of Elite 5 in Malaysia which I have one for myself. Since many online users aren’t aware of this particular model, let’s just start of with the specifications. The LEAGOO Elite 5 is sized at 5.5-inch and comes with an IPS display. It is a 720p smartphone with the resolution of 720 x 1280. The colors are really vivid and I was very surprised with how good the display on the Elite 5 is.

Under the hood, you get a MediaTek MT6735P Quad core processor clocked at 1.0GHz and paired with 400MHz Mali T720 GPU. There’s no Snapdragon  involved here, however there’s not much of noticeable differences when you actually use this smartphone. The Elite 5 is very smooth and great at multitasking capable of handling light gaming without any lag. Do take note, this smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM so you have nothing much to complain about with the price you pay.

Moving to the storage, you get 16GB of internal storage and on top of that you can expand your storage capacity as you get a micro SD slot available at your convenience. LEAGOO Elite 5 weighs at 176g and is only 8.9mm in terms of thinness. The best this about this smartphone is that it supports 4G LTE connectivity. Considering its attractive specifications and price tag, the Elite 5 proves to be one of the cheapest 4G LTE smartphone out there.

It does not stop here, the LEAGOO Elite 5 is a Dual Sim and Dual Standby smartphone. Not just that, it is also a Dual 4G smartphone meaning both the Sim card slots are able to support 4G LTE connectivity. The Sim slots support Micro Sim and Mini Sim respectively.

Out of the box, the LEAGOO Elite 5 comes with Android 5.1 and their own LEAGOO OS UI. It is pretty clear they have great software team as they have the latest Lollipop version for their smartphones as some brands are still producing similar range phones at only Android 5.0. The Elite 5 is made out of high quality poly-carbonate fused into  high strength aluminum titanium alloy frame.

There’s no limitation to the camera section as the main camera comes at 13-Megapixels paired with a LED flash while the front selfie camera is set at 8-Megapixels. Everything about this smartphone is quite high-end even though the price is pretty low for what it is capable of. I mean like seriously, 8-Megapixels front camera? The cheapest smartphone with this resolution?

The main selling point of the LEAGOO Elite 5, is the removable 4000mAh battery. This smartphone has a great battery capacity and has fast charging capability for users ease of use. Since the battery is removable, you can also hot-swap it with another battery which can last you throughout the day.

Some additional feature such as IR blaster is present in this device which acts as a Universal remote control to control your home appliances and reverse charging which enables you to use the Elite 5 as a power bank.

The LEAGOO Elite 5 comes in three wonderful colors, Black, Yellow and White. It is priced at RM699 inclusive of GST. What are your thoughts on the LEAGOO Elite 5? Is this the best mid-ranged LTE smartphone till date?

Other noticeable features such as Notification Light, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS is present within this smartphone and no doubt it is one of the best to compare with most of the mid ranged devices available out there.
