I am pretty sure many of you are aware of the recently launched Samsung flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung claims that their latest release is a totally renowned type of S series where we could physically see that externally on how it looks like with the glass and metal combo.
Apart from the pricing factor, I don’t see a reason why we shouldn’t get one of them. Samsung Galaxy S6 is priced at RM2599 while the Galaxy S6 Edge is priced at a whopping RM3099 both inclusive of the latest “most talked about topic” GST.
I have no serious issues regarding about the new Galaxy series, however I am quite unhappy with the factor that both of them are running on Samsung’s very own Exynos processor. I have a serious issue when my friend owned a Exynos based tablet from Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″. Of course, on this device the Exynos processor is a different one. So for me, its definitely Snapdragon based SoC if I am to pay a huge amount of money for an Android flagship smartphone. What about you?
I noticed the sluggishness especially during heavy multitasking. When you’re running multiple apps and playing around with the multi window feature, you would definitely realize how bad the Exynos processor performs. Most noticeable one was during Full HD video capturing session with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″, it stuttered so badly that I had no interest on the tablet and immediately told my friend to get rid of it.
Other than that, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is the perfect choice for you. Everything on these smartphone is an upgrade. The gorgeous QHD screen, awesome design, fast charging and fantastic camera. On the back glass panel, its made of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 with wireless charging supported.
TouchWiz is said to be much improved with most “bloatwares” removed and the devices seem to be much smoother. You also get a built-in theme manager where you can download and tweak the looks of your existing stock look.
Below are some of the images that I took during the official launch event. So guys, will you get the Samsung Galaxy S6 or the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge? If i get a chance to review these units, I will probably have a clearer answer whether to get it or not, however my answer will be NO simply because of the price tag. Comments guys?
