So guys, the long awaited metal-framed Samsung Galaxy Alpha is coming on the 19th of September to our Malaysian shore! This smartphone was announced internationally sometime ago starting with the Korean release which took place some time ago. Till then, this phone was quite forgotten by some of us in Malaysia, which partially includes me. However, I could still recognize the Samsung Galaxy Alpha the very moment I see the metal-framed smartphone.

Earlier, while browsing the web, I came across this advert from Senheng which featured the all new Samsung Galaxy Alpha on the top banner itself ( the photo above is the actual advert/banner ) and if you look at it carefully it does state the RCP ( Retail Cost Price) which is RM1899. Well yes it is set at that price, but since it is still under RCP and not RRP ( Retail Recommended Price) it could still change sometime during the official launch happening on the 19th September which is next week of course. So my guess would be probably the same price would remain, or else it could be easily priced at RM2099. Official launch was today and the price is official at RM1899.

No idea about what Samsung Galaxy Alpha is about? Well lets get to the specification area. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is sized at 4.7-inch with a 720p Display (720 x 1280 ) resolution resulting in a pixel density of 312ppi. Yes, it is still a Super AMOLED Display providing you a totally different experience when it comes to mobile viewing compared to real life viewing. It just simply makes anything that looks dull into something to be looked at.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM, that is a massive internal storage given from Samsung but of course with the loss of  option to expand it  without a micro SD slot. You still get a Fingerprint sensor which was introduced on the Samsung Galaxy S5 allowing you to secure you Samsung Galaxy Alpha by locking it based on your fingerprints and also with the option to make payments for purchases too.

The gorgeous looking Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Weighing at just 115g, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is seriously something to look at and feel it by yourself as with the metal frame you would definitely expect the smartphone to be heavy at least. Wait till you read this, the Alpha is only 6.7mm thin! Remarkable isn’t it? Time to change your smartphone guys. 🙂

You get a 12MP camera paired with LED flash with the capability to record 4K videos at 30fps. The front selfie camera is set at 2.1MP allowing you to take decent shots of your own. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is powered by none other than their own Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5430 Octa core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and 1.3GHz respectively. For the GPU section, it is powered by the highly rated Mali-T628 MP6 proving you a great gaming experience.

This smartphone uses a single Nano SIM and does support 4G LTE connectivity. a built in heart-rate scanner is made available for you too. Last but not least, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with a questionable 1860 mAh of battery capacity only. I have no idea why it is quite low come to think of it, but to compensate that part, the battery is removable for your comfort. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes out of the box with Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will be definitely in the list for the all awaited Android L update.

Colors available for the Samsung Galaxy Alpha in Malaysia are Sleek Silver, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold and Charcoal Black.
