Yes you have read it right. The HTC Desire 820 is proud to be the first ever 64-bit processor Android phone running on Snapdragon 615 Octa core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with a built in LTE modem. This latest Desire series has the best ever specification out there together with a 8MP front facing selfie camera.
The HTC Desire 820 comes with a 5.5-inch 720p HD display which is identical to the HTC Desire 816. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. You still get the option of expanding your storage capacity up to 128GB with the micro SD slot. The back camera is a 13MP shooter with a aperture of f2.2 while the front shooter is set at 8MP both with BSI sensor and capable of recording 1080p Full HD videos.
LTE connectivity is supported with CAT 4 and you can now enjoy great speed without depending on HDSPA+ alone. The BoomSound front facing speakers still remains with great stereo sound and excellent quality can be expected from the speakers engineered by HTC.
It could be single SIM and dual SIM depending on your country and carrier, which HTC strictly uses Nano SIM only. The battery capacity is set at 2600mAh and HTC claims that the standby time could be up to 424 hours on 3G network while the talk time could last up to 22.4 hours on 3G network as well. Again the battery is non-removable meaning you can’t get a spare battery to change in case you need extra juice suddenly.
This smartphone comes with Android KitKat out of the box and will definitely be one of the first HTC smartphone to get the Android L update once made availabe. You still get the same HTC Sense 6.0 which offers a snappy and stable performing Android skin on designed by HTC.
HTC claims that a Dot View cover will be made available designed specially for the HTC Desire 820. Lastly, the HTC Desire 820 comes in nine different colors which HTC calls as “double shot” which has two different color tones on the buttons and the polycarbonate unibody. The colors are Flamingo Grey, Monarch Orange, Blue Mist, Tangerine White, Saffron Grey, Milky-Way Grey and Santorini White which are all glossy designs while the Tuxedo Grey is the only one made available in a matte design. The outlook of the HTC Desire 820 is fantastic and the very moment you take a look at the photos, I can assure that you will fall in love too.
