The wait is over for those who were craving for the return of Super AMOLED display for Tablet variants from Samsung as it’s last device to feature the Super AMOLED display, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, a fantastic tablet I must say from a gorgeous 7.7″ Super AMOLED screen providing vivid colors with phone call capability and with a nice brushed aluminium finish at the back giving it a premium outlook and stylish design. Since then, we missed the era of Super AMOLED screen which made a lot of AMOLED lovers to keep requesting from Samsung and persuade them to release future Tablets by replacing the usual TFT display with Super AMOLED screen. Looks like Samsung are listening to you guys as two days ago, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd announced the all new Samsung Galaxy Tab S at New York which comes in two variants, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″ in two categories, WiFi only and WiFi plus LTE. Meanwhile the other one is slightly bigger and comes in two categories as well which is both WiFi and WiFi plus LTE.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″ comes with Super AMOLED display sized at 8.4″ with the resolution of 1600×2560 which measures to a pixel density of 359ppi. Yes, if you choose to get the one with cellular data you will be able to enjoy 4G LTE connectivity which is the only thing WiFi only variant lacks that results in the earpiece for making phone calls removed. Next, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″ comes with 3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of ROM and with the existance of microSD slot you can expand your memory up to 128GB. When it comes to the processor, it comes in either with their own Exynos 5 Octa core processor and also with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 Quad core processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″ comes with 8MP main camera with LED flash and 2.1MP front shooter both capable of capturing Full HD videos. The OS for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″ is the latest Android 4.4 KitKat and with the battery capacity set at 4900mAh, both exceptional smoothness and good battery life can be expected. Not to forget as the latest Touchwiz Android skin over seems pretty stable compared to the previous ones. Lastly it comes with the same fingerprint scanner present on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and same outlook as well in terms of design. Do take note that the proximity sensor will be missing from the WiFi only variant and only be offered on the WiFi plus LTE variant.

Moving on to the bigger one, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5″ which features a 10.5″ Super AMOLED display with the same resolution of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4″ but with lower pixel count of 288ppi despite the larger screen. You could enjoy LTE connectivity if you choose to get the cellular data variant but do take note as there won’t be any ear piece for calls existing in this one but you could still make phone calls and communicate via earphones or loudspeaker. Under the hood it has either the Exynos 5 Octa core processor and Snapdragon 800 Quad core processor with the boost of 3GB RAM, performance will be flawless. It comes with both 16 or 32GB of ROM depending on your choice with microSD slot up to 128GB too. Lastly the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5″ comes with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat and with a large battery capacity of 7900mAh.

I am pretty sure these Tab S variants will be a big hit to the market considering the amount of love some people have on the Super AMOLED display.
