Guys, guess what? Google have quietly added a stock Android version without the extras from Motorola, which is obviously the Google Play Edition spotted only in the US Play Store. Many of you who intend to get the Moto G despite its fast update releases due to Google’s ownership of the Motorola company is the priority reason that most of us would even consider getting the smartphone.
Well, now that users from US could actually purchase online via the Google Play Store with the price tag of $179(RM588) for the 8GB model and they also offer the 16GB model, which is priced at $199(RM654).However in Malaysia, we could not purchase any phones via online on the Google Play Store as it is currently unavailable in my country, but we could still get it from online sellers or some physical mobile phone shop owners who would possibly import this set despite it’s affordable price tag. But do take note that usually these sellers would mark up the price for their profit sake.
The specification is just the same with the original Motorola version, a 4-inch screen with 720p display(1280×720), powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 8/16GB internal memory with no expandable microSD slot, and 1GB of RAM. For imaging purpose, the Moto G Google Play Edition would also feature the same camera specification which is a 5MP back camera with a 1.3MP front shooter. For a respectable battery life, the smartphone is packed with a 2070mAh non-removable battery. Do take note that both Moto G and the Google Play Edition does not support LTE connectivity as it is limited with only HSDPA, but as long there is WiFi, this would not be a big issue after all.
So guys, what do you think? I am very sure most of you are excited of this news, I would also consider getting the Google Play Edition as soon as possible once any online sellers in Malaysia brings this one into the country. How wonderful could it be if the Moto X is made available as a Google Play Edition as well?
