Motorola Moto G users can now check their Software update on your phone if it didn’t notify you of the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is available now. The download file size is 190.9 MB so make sure you can actually download the update via data connection too, since the file size is small. And as usual it is always recommended to update via WiFi.
A quick shortlist of update changelog :-
– New camera control for focus and exposure.
– New phone dialer application.
– Google Hangout now supports SMS/MMS ( not sure why is this stated in the changelog)
This update was released by by Motorola and Google on the 19th December, but users reported that only some of them managed to get the update notification, but today most of the users have confirmed that they have successfully updated their Moto G and mentioned that their user interface is much smoother compared to Android 4.3 Jellybean that they had out of box.
For some of you who still haven’t get the update and would prefer doing it manually, you could go to XDA Forum but do take note that some of the users are getting Device ID error while using this method.
