As I talked about in one of my recent post LG G3 leaked specifications, i mentioned that the G3 would run on a quad-core processor. Looks like it has been confirmed as in the AnTuTu benchmark site a new device
appeared with the code name LG Odin revealed a benchmark test which shows us a brief preview of what the next LG G3 would feature although the benchmark looks pretty half-baked as it might not even be the final result of the final product that would be manufactured by LG by next year.
Based on the AnTuTu benchmark, you can see that the clock speed of the CPU is extremely low at 100MHz to 1GHz only while the quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor is already clocked over 2GHz. This might not mean it is a bad news as probably this octa-core is optimized in such way that would not need a very high clock speed. Do take note that this LG Odin’s chip architecture is same as the one on Exynos 5410(the on featured on the Galaxy S4(i9500), that means it might not allow you to utilize the 8 cores at the same time with balanced and equal duty for each cores, instead it would work in a way where 4 would handle heavy usage such as gaming and another 4 would handle the light usage such as web browsing.
The best part about this benchmark is that the GPU would be powered by the exact series featured on the Apple iPhone 5S, the all new Power VR Series 6(Rogue Hood), which means the graphics on the LG G3 would be in a whole new level on Android devices.
Some other noticeable information via the AnTuTu benchmark, is the screen resolution which is 1080×1920 which is only a Full HD screen, as we all expected a 2k display screen, 2GB of RAM, 13MP main camera with 1.3MP front shooter, and only 4GB of internal storage. However, as I mentioned this might not be the final product and most likely this benchmark is just a test result from the LG team which could even be a method of teasing their next LG smartphone. LG Odin runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, which is another hint of this test benchmark to be not the final product as by the time this device is officially announced, this OS would be already outdated as right now most of us would expect the mouth-watering KitKat.
