When it comes to free internet calls, we all could conclude that first few apps that comes to mind would be either Skype, Viber and Line. But these apps does more than what it means by free internet calls, some offer their own call plan to those who does not use the specific app on their mobile device, some has fantastic UI which has the feature to chat as well with awesome stickers and games to play around.
But some might feel reluctant to try this app but have no other alternatives due to lack of free internet calls service app being developed. Well, for those who are specifically looking for a simple app which does only free internet via WiFi, there is Awaaz now for you to try out. What is Awaaz? This is a plugin developed by one of XDA forum member Kizmat which enables you to make direct phone to phone calls without using your mobile network connection as long if both sides have Awaaz installed and connected to WiFi, you’re good to go even while you’re travelling abroad and roaming.
Some of the features that I would like to highlight are:-
– It uses peer to peer (P2P) network connection which most of us use via torrent clients.
– This app does not share your personal informations such as contacts, images, data stored on your mobile device.
– It uses Opus codec, one of the best audio codecs available which enables you to have a crisp-clear conversation.
– Has the capability to use this app while on data connection too.
– It uses only 10 KB/s of bandwidth which means minimum data usage.
– If the other person who you intend to call using this app does not have this app installed, the call would be automatically be a normal call instead of Internet call with no extra charges.
– It is absolutely free!
Do take note that this app can be used on Android 3.0 and above only.
