How many of you actually heard of Allcast?, Well this app is supposed to feature in the famous Chromecast by Google, but due to some whitelist issues with Google they eventually banned the application from being included in the Chromecast.
So what is Chromecast? It’s an app that connects your Android device to your TV which enables you to almost do anything directly via your TV, for example viewing photos, videos, audios, and even powerpoint slides and much more. What are the supported devices? Well so far Allcast supports Roku streaming player, the Apple TV, Xbox 360 and the latest Xbox One, all range of Samsung Smart TVs, all range of Panasonic Smart TVs, WDTV(Western Digital Media Player), Google TV, and the DLNA Renderers.
An additional feature that Allcast offers is the capability of using your Cloud storages such as Dropbox and Google Drive as a streaming source. That is a real handy feature which wouldn’t be an issue in term of depending only on Android device storage capacity.
Of course this app was introduced earlier this month, but in the beta stage, and now its fully stable and reliable for daily usage. Interested to try Allcast you can grab it from here, but do take note the app is available for free but in order for you to use it, you have to buy the premium license which would cost you $4.99.
